You can delete your Documentos account yourself at any time, or email us if you can't sign in. This page explains what happens either way.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes everything stored in it, including:
- Every document you've saved, and every photograph or PDF you've uploaded;
- Every appointment you've added;
- The people in your household, including any documents or appointments linked to them;
- Your household record itself;
- Your email history with us (newsletters, reminders, lifecycle emails);
- Your subscription record;
- Your profile and the account itself — your email address will no longer be associated with Documentos.
Self-service deletion is immediate
If you can sign in, deletion is instant and irreversible. There is no request queue and no 30-day hold.
How to delete your account
- Sign in to Documentos.
- Open your Account page.
- Scroll to the "Account" section and choose Delete my account.
- Type
DELETEto confirm.
As soon as you confirm, your data is permanently removed. We cannot undo it or recover anything later.
Export your data first
Before you delete your account, you can download a copy of the information you've saved.
To export: sign in, go to your Account page, and choose Download my data. The export will include your documents, appointments, people, and account details as a file you can keep.
Important: your data export lists your documents but does not contain the photographs or PDFs themselves. If you want to keep those, download them from each document before you delete your account. Deletion removes them permanently.
If you can't sign in
If you can't access your account, email us at hello@documentos-app.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line Delete My Account. We will act on your request as soon as we can, and within 30 days at the latest.
