What it is
A printout from the Portal das Financas showing the address registered with the tax authority. It is widely accepted as proof of address, including by public bodies and banks.
Who needs it
Anyone required to evidence an address to AIMA, IMT, a bank or a utility.
Where to get it
The Portal das Financas, under personal data. Free and immediate.
Does it expire?
No legal expiry. In practice institutions generally ask for one issued within the last three months.
